The ''minecraft:map_holder'' item component holds map data in the [[mc>Data_component_format#map_id|minecraft:map_id]] and [[mc>Data_component_format#map_decorations|minecraft:map_decorations]] item stack components, that are then displayed to a player when holding the item or when placed in an [[mc>Item_Frame|Item Frame]].
It may also be used in a [[mc>Cartography_Table|Cartography Table]] to modify the map data.
This item component has no fields, and therefore always looks like ''{}''.
